_Position Summary_

Responsible for accurate and timely processing and posting of patient claims. Facilitates resolution of billing errors and partners with Revenue Management team to ensure timely follow up of claims. Accountable for document management of digital storage, indexing, and mail distribution.

_Minimum Education Requirements_

  • High School Diploma or GED required

_Minimum Experience Requirements_

  • 2 years computer experience, strong customer service skills. Prior office experience in a healthcare environment, medical terminology, and the ability to multitask and prioritize, preferred.

_Position Duties (essential functions denoted with an * )_

  • Performs accurate and timely posting of patient claims using the revenue management billing system.*

  • Maintains an accuracy rate within the departmental guidelines and demonstrates the importance of quality

  • and integrity of capturing patient information with regards to patient confidentiality.*

  • Partners with facility billing personnel to ensure a consistent and timely follow up of claims.*

  • Utilizes problem solving skills to coordinate with revenue management team issues that may arise as it

  • pertains to billing.*

  • Researches outstanding issues to assist in the facilitation of timely account resolution.*

  • Accountable for the optical storage of information by scanning documents and mail distribution.*

_Physical Requirements_

Sedentary Work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally)
