Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform technical and analytical work in the development and support of standardized and/or customized reports. The Database Report Writer is expected to partner with leadership and mentor less-experienced analyst. The position assists users by providing technical support in response to incidents pertaining to reports, applications and other various requests. The position also leads, facilitates and/or participates in change planning sessions, evaluates impact of proposed changes, coordinates with departments, collaborates with IT peers and provides subject matter expertise to proposed changes and projects. This role will capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements. This position will create and produce, reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, modifying existing reports, testing reports for accuracy and enhancing reports as necessary by partnering with end-users to identify reporting needs and solutions.
_Minimum Education Requirements_
H.S. diploma or GED required.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
_Minimum Experience Requirements_
4 years of direct experience in report writing and working with SQL and/or PL/SQL along with SQL DBA skills to support the database required.
Three to five years’ experience in an acute care setting (nursing care, radiology, respiratory therapy, etc.) or business office for an acute facility preferred.
Demonstrated Microsoft Access, Crystal Decisions, and Excel skill required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills.
Ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Provides end-user support on standardized and/or customized reports and ad-hoc report creation. Confers with clients originating, handling, processing, or receiving reports to identify problems and to gather suggestions for improvements.
Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources and provide light maintenance of database/data systems. *
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing and ad hoc reports. *
Ability to work interactively with various teams in a highly collaborative environment. *
Reviews queries for the performance issues, making changes as needed. *
Understands the methodologies and technologies that depict the flow of data within and between technology systems and business functions/operations. *
Create and manage operational documentation and follow established policies and procedures. *
Provide expertise and training to necessary user group in various departments. *
Clarifies reporting requirements and report specifications with Business Analysts. *
