This role will provide leadership to all 7 of our Emergeny Urgent Care (EUC) sites, to include Arvada, Avon, Frederick, Golden, Meridian, Highlands Ranch, and Lakewood.

_Position Summary_

To provide leadership in the strategic and daily operations of the assigned clinical departments and support departments. This includes developing and maintaining physician relations, empowering clinical care givers through solicitation of input and implementation of actions to improve delivery of patient care. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the provision of services in the assigned departments. He/she will supervise the delivery of patient care and has the responsibility for establishing standards of nursing practice for the service. Assures achievement of department goals and adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies.

_Minimum Education Requirements_

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master's Degree in health care or business related field OR a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)

_Minimum Experience Requirements_

  • 2 years of management experience and proven leadership experience within medical/surgical services

*Special Requirements*

  • 3+ years clinical ED experience will be required for this position.

_License/Certifications_

  • Colorado State Nursing License

  • Specialty nursing certification, preferred

  • Identifies and fills gaps in unit skills and knowledge. *

  • Effectively markets unit job openings to attract highly skilled staff members. *

  • Through effective coaching and mentoring, assists people in developing their careers; ensures they are prepared to assume additional responsibility.*

  • Prevents voluntary departures by maintaining a hands-on approach to developing people and a unit environment that encourages retention of staff. *

  • Facilitates staff competency by identifying, measuring and evaluating desired performance and holding staff accountable. *

  • Facilitates the constructive resolution of conflict. *

  • Uses techniques that appeal to reason, values, and emotions to generate enthusiasm for work, commitment to task objectives, and compliance with requests. *

  • Identifies the best methods for accomplishing long and short- term goals by creating plans and evaluating unit performance objectively.*

  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring the service and hospitals’ operations and its programs and initiating required changes or improvements.*

_Physical Requirements_

  • Sedentary Work - prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally
