Position Summary

The Business Technology Director (BTD) is responsible for managing the relationship and alignment between Centura IT and business areas to ensure the alliance of IT as a trusted strategic partner and foster IT’s understanding of the business technology needs. Serves as the strategic interface for business technology strategy development, solution discovery and relationship management. Communicates decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests, projects and initiatives. Proactively promotes IT services and capabilities and shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units. Understands market challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issues. Serves a lead role in enabling the business to achieve their objectives through the effective use of technology. The BT Director will report directly to the CIO and will establish partnerships with regional business executives.

As a member of the IT leadership team, this individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to cultivate relationships with suppliers, business executives/users as well as other IT teams. This role seeks to achieve the appropriate balance between the speed and efficiency of execution with the longer-term quality, stability and supportability for the technology and innovations that support our business.

  • Minimum Education Requirements*

High school diploma or GED, required

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related, required.

Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Minimum Experience Requirements*

7 years of experience and knowledge of IT and application of technology related to assigned business areas.

Must have expiereince in business relations management, IT roadmapping, support for ERP, HR, Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain. applicaitons

Strong executive presence, presentation skills and business acumen.

Excellent technical and nontechnical communication skills, both written and formal with proven ability across all levels, both inside and outside the company.

• Cultivate deep understanding of corporate, business unit and technology strategies. *

• Ability to proactively identify opportunities and gaps, develop business cases and make recommendation on leveraging technology to accelerated business goals. *

• Coordinate development and support of new business capabilities through technology solutions to meet evolving corporate and business unit requirements. *

• Work with Enterprise Architects to define business objectives via business cases, analyzing workflow process and identify areas for process changes. Champion the initiative through the IT strategic planning process. *

• Conduct industry research and analysis regarding best in class customer/user experience. *

• Map required business outcomes to planning and implementation of technology to support the outcomes. *

• Coordinate cross functional business and IT teams to develop the business case, solutions and approvals to prioritize and implement required technology. *

• Ensure change management to best realize desired business benefits associated with the use of technology. *

• Act as single point of contact and advocate for business customers and IT for all IT services. *

• Ensure alignments to all IT and cyber security policies and goals. *
