_Position Summary_

The monitor technician initiates, maintains, interprets, communicates, and documents continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring for assigned patients.

Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission, core, and SHARE values.

_Position Essential Functions_

_Minimum Education Requirements_

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

_Minimum Experience Requirements_

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations and symbols.

  • Basic understanding of monitoring systems and supplies.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills.

_Minimum license/certifcations Requirements_

Current BLS from American Heart Association required

  • Completion of TDS computer training

  • Successful completion of established EKG exam during orientation, and annually there after

_Physical Requirements_

  • Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
